Producers Livestock Auction
Tuesday May 20, 2025
San Angelo-Producers Livestock Auction sold 7602 sheep and goats on Tuesday with 3422 left for Wednesdays sale. Wool lambs $5 to $10 higher. Slaughter lambs sold weak to as much as $15 higher on the over 80 pound buck lambs. Slaughter ewes sold $5 to $7 lower. Kid goats sold firm to $15 higher. Slaughter nannies $1.40 to $2.60 mostly $1.77 to $2.13 Slaughter billies $2.00 to $2.85

Wooled Feeder Lambs: 2.53 to 2.80
Slaughter Lambs: 2.50 to 3.14 heavies, 2.15 to 3.06                      
Slaughter Ewes: .90 to 1.55 mostly 1.08 to 1.35
Kid Goats: 2.70 to 4.41 mostly 3.64 to 4.09 some show prospect up to 5.10

San Angelo-Producers Livestock Auction sold 796 head of cattle. Compared to our last sale calves and yearlings sold near steady with continued strong demand.  Slaughter cows and bulls trading fully $2.00-$4.00 higher. Strong demand continues for the limited supply of pairs and bred cows.

Better Quality Steers: 400-600 lbs, 290.00-425.00, mostly 315.00-365.00, 600-800 lbs, 250.00-370.00, mostly 280.00-325.00
Better Quality Heifers: 400-600 lbs, 275.00-400.00, mostly 290.00-360.00, 600-800 lbs, 225.00-320.00, mostly 250.00-295.00
Slaughter Cows: Average to high yield 118.00-140.00, highest yielding 142.00-158.00, very thin or low yielding 90.00-110.00
Slaughter Bulls: Average to high yield 146.00-178.00, highest yielding 180.00-199.00
Bred Cows & 2 Year Olds: Not enough for market test.
Cow/Calf pairs: Average quality few singles 1800.00-3200 per pair. Choice sets two groups, young black and bwf 4000-4050 per pair.
